This Privacy Policy applies to the KMCC Care mobile app for iOS and Android, the public registration website, and related applicant onboarding services operated for Society of KMCC Care.

The Society is subject to the provisions of The Kerala Societies Registration Act, 2025. Its present and registered office is Hamarain Center, 73/117, Edakkad, Pavangad, Puthiyangadi PO, Calicut Dt.

When you use the registration service or the mobile app, we may collect information you submit as part of an application, an assistance request, or an enquiry.

• Identity and contact details, including name, address, phone number, email address, and related applicant details.
• Registration and eligibility information needed to review an applicant request.
• Nominee and family member details you provide as part of a membership or welfare record.
• Documents, files, photographs, declarations, or supporting material uploaded during onboarding or with an assistance request.
• Technical usage data such as browser type, device details, operating system version, app version, IP address, pages or screens visited, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
• Notification tokens used to deliver service messages to your device, where you have permitted notifications.

The app requests device permissions only where a feature needs them, and asks at the point of use. You can decline a permission or withdraw it later in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

• Camera and photo library — only to capture or attach documents and a profile photograph you choose to upload.
• Notifications — only to inform you about the status of your registration or an assistance request.
• Storage or files — only to select the documents you attach to a request.

The app and the registration service are intended for adults acting on their own behalf or on behalf of their family. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where a member provides details of a dependent child as part of a welfare record, that information is handled under the same safeguards described in this policy.

We use personal information only for purposes connected with applicant onboarding, welfare society administration, communication, security, and compliance.

• To create, resume, review, and manage registration requests.
• To verify information, request corrections, and communicate application status.
• To protect the service from misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and technical errors.
• To comply with applicable law, society rules, audit needs, and lawful requests from competent authorities.
• To improve the reliability, accessibility, and usability of the public registration service.

The service may use cookies or similar browser technologies for essential functions such as applicant sessions, security, and service diagnostics. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of the registration service may not work without essential cookies.

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with authorized Society personnel, service providers, advisors, or authorities only when required to operate the service, process applications, protect users, or meet legal obligations.

Service providers are expected to process information only for the purposes requested by the Society and to protect it using appropriate safeguards.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect applicant information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid submitting information outside the official registration flow.

We retain information for as long as needed for application processing, society records, dispute handling, audit, compliance, and legitimate administrative purposes.

You may contact the Society to request correction or review of information submitted through the registration service or the app, subject to identity verification, applicable law, and society record-keeping obligations.

You may also request deletion of your account and associated data. The Account Deletion page explains how to make the request, what is deleted, what must be retained for statutory records, and how long the process takes.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, the registration service, society practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
